This is a detailed 3D model of a Plastic Enclosure Shield, designed to protect internal mechanical or electrical components. Modeled in SolidWorks, this project demonstrates my understanding of complex surface modeling and Plastic Part Design. Key Design Highlights: Uniform Wall Thickness: The part has been carefully hollowed out (shelled) to maintain consistent thickness throughout. This is critical in injection molding to prevent sink marks and warping. Curved Protective Geometry: Designed with smooth, ergonomic curves to deflect impacts and provide a clean aesthetic finish. Mounting & Clearance: Features an integrated top rectangular boss and side cutouts for easy assembly and internal clearance. DFM Principles: Draft angles and tooling considerations have been kept in mind for easy mold ejection.
