The mold was designed in SOLIDWORKS with emphasis on manufacturability, including proper parting surfaces, draft angles, core–cavity design, and the integration of a hot runner system. Plastic flow simulation was conducted to validate material flow and gate effectiveness before manufacturing. CAM programming was performed using PowerMill to generate efficient toolpaths for roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing operations. The generated NC programs were then verified through CNC machining simulation using SwanSoft CNC Simulator to ensure safe tool motion, collision-free operation, and machining accuracy. The project demonstrates the importance of digital validation in reducing manufacturing errors, improving surface quality, and optimizing production efficiency prior to actual CNC machining.
