This design is a pneumatically operated mechanism developed for handling and orienting cylindrical workpieces during machining or assembly operations. The system grips a cylindrical component, lifts it vertically using a gripper assembly mounted on a linear guide unit, rotates the workpiece by 180° about its longitudinal axis, and repositions it back at the same location. The lifting motion is achieved through a vertically mounted pneumatic cylinder coupled with a linear rail system, ensuring smooth and accurate vertical movement. A pneumatic rotary actuator provides the 180° rotational motion required to expose the opposite side of the workpiece for subsequent machining or processing operations.
