Freecad has a "Pyramids and Polyhedrons" workbench that allows you to create pyramids and polyhedra with just one command : tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, icosahedron and geodesic sphere... Here is an example of dodecahedron with a mapping of small spheres on vertices and cylinders on edges. The color + transparency (50%) of the faces was not exported correctly in the step files. We have either transparency or color... but not both simultaneously ! It's different with .WRL files the browser shows the image with color and transparency but the Grabcad 3D viewer show the transparencies but all is grey.
