Dominoes is a game made up of rectangular pieces, usually endowed with a thickness that gives them the form of parallelepiped, in which one side is marked by dots indicate numerical values. The term is also used to designate individual parts that make up this game. The name probably derives from the Latin phrase "domino gratias" ("thank God"), spoken by European priests to mark victory in a game [citation needed]. In the mathematics of polymorphism, a domino is a rectangular figure formed by two congruent squares placed side by side. The game apparently originated in China and its creation is attributed to a saint named Hung Ming Chinese soldier, who lived from 243 BC to 182 BC The traditional set of dominoes, known as Sino-European, consists of 28 pieces, or stones. Each rectangular face domino is divided into two square pieces, or "tips" which are marked by a number of points from 0 to 6, or left blank. A game of dominoes is equivalent to a deck of cards or dice game, which can be played in a variety of unknown ways.
