Service pit (called also a drop in pit) can be used for a quick and cost effective maintenance pit. The pit assembly contains multiple sub-assemblies or modules as following: Base, Frame, Air ventilation pipes, Supply pipes, Cover, Jack platform, Walk-on Platforms and Miscellaneous (Pressurized air pipes, lighting and port cables, walk-on platform slide-way, drain, staircases and commercials like fasteners or clamps). The Service pit base can be manufactured in two ways: with bent metal sheets segments welded together or individual welded metal sheet. The whole base is welded on the frame. The other sub-assemblies are either welded or joint together with fasteners. The prefabricated service pit is installed bellow ground (with the upper frame surface leveled with the ground) and encased in concrete. Technical documentation is available upon request.
