The following work consists of designing a solution for the proposal put forward by NASA, “Low Leakage Cryogenic Disconnects for Fuel Transfer and Long-Term Storage” Leakage Cryogenic Disconnects for Fuel Transfer and Long-Term Storage,” which addresses the need to modify a fuel coupling system to prevent losses. To develop the concept and design, a divergent-convergent conceptual post-process was used to analyze the options already presented by the challenge participants and to obtain the innovative idea that is developed below.
