Here's version 2 of my print in place box. I was going to iterate the original model but decided to start from scratch as the original model had too many critical errors to be worth editing. Personally, I like this one better anyway. If anyone happens to download and 3D print this model, please leave me a comment and let me know how it came out as I haven't printed this model myself just yet. This box is slightly larger than the original. I've also doubled the distances on the clearance cuts, increased the wall thickness from 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm, increased the number of hinge points from three to seven, and sat the axis of the hinge deeper into the model so that there is no longer a gap under the hinge when the box is fully opened and laying flat. This should prevent needing to use printed supports under the hinge. I've also added two friction tabs which should hopefully hold the box closed better than the last version. The addition of more fillets to the small, sharp edges has smoothed the appearance of the model and should take care of any non-manifold edges, as there were a couple on the first version upon importing the STEP file into my slicer program. Oh, and I added a cool little hexagonal star emblem in place of the thumb grip because hexagons are the bestagons.
