THE PROBLEM: Different disciplines of skiing require specific types of skis. A park ski does not float in powder. A powder ski is not stable in the park. A rocker-camber-rocker ski serves only half of it's purpose in both disciplines. There is only one adjustable ski profile on the market, and it's components are permanently built into the ski. The poor college kids who love to ski both park and powder cannot afford two pairs of skis. Their parents go bankrupt when they have to spend nearly $1,000 for two total sets of skis. THE SOLUTION: Transform almost any ski into a "One-Ski-Quiver." A ski mounted with "PROFLEX" floats in powder, is stable in the park, serves it's full purpose in both disciplines, transforms any camber ski into a rocker ski, and the poor college kids are now happy with one pair of skis and huge savings. The estimated price for a complete PROFLEX kit is around $150. It is a much wiser decision to mount up a PROFLEX kit than to buy an additional pair of $500 skis to be able to enjoy skiing deep and fresh powder. The PROFLEX Lever, Base, and Anchor parts were designed to be structurally sound, so that a freshly printed FDM ABS model can be fully functional. Hardware for the kit is not to be printed, but it is about $30 of the total price estimate. The metal hardware is the main source of strength within this model. The kit is kept to a minimum weight, as there are high quality materials utilized such as the Zero-Stretch 300lb test Spectra Kite Line. One flip of the lever pulls the tip and tail lines inwards of 1mm, providing an overall profile change of about +/- 15mm (depending on the type of ski). The lever works the same as a cam-lever, or a bike seat post clamp: The inner hole on the lever for the clevis pin is not concentric with the outer diameter of the lever's rounded edge. The hole is offset by at least .5mm, thus causing an overall change of 1mm when the lever is rotated 180 degrees. The clevis pin does not make any contact with the base. Threaded fine tuning is provided at each anchor point by removing the anchor clevis pin and then replacing it after making any necessary adjustments. Choose PROFLEX for an adjustable ski Profile.
