A nonplanar pulley design - this design is initiated for OpenLab community to challenge designers to finish the design and build something that works! The core geometry is defined - and the remaining questions must be answered to finish: - how will the pulleys get mounted? - what is the necessary clearance for the axles? -do we need a retainer design that carries the belt? -does the cord length need adjustment from 200mm? This design depends on the right o-ring selection. I've included an o-ring calculator tool that helps you identify standard sizes & calculate the right choice. This version 0.1 model uses o-ring size # 150 which has approximately 200mm circumference. Find this part at Grainger: PN 41UK48, only $2.65 for 10 pack. Updated details: The pulley box design should be made to match the geometry of the openbox model shown in photos. The shaft is 6mm in diameter, as shown. The bearing size is 606, having 6.05mm ID, 17mm OD, 7mm thickness. The shaft axes both have a centerpoint on a shared plane. The bounding box (exterior dimensions) is the same as the handybox, which you can download using keyword: "openbox" in the grabCAD search.
