The BTA (Rear Transmission Box) is one of the subassemblies of the "Alouette II" helicopter. It transmits the mechanical energy available at the output of the main geared motor to the blades of the rear anti-torque rotor (RAC). This subassembly is indispensable in order to provide a mechanical energy of rotation to the rotor along the right axis and thus to enable the RAC to ensure its function as a corner gear.
