My project for redesign is the common everyday hot coffee cup, no matter how well made the cup is, the cup always ends up leaking in some way. My design focuses on material flexibility. My idea to add a small P.E.T plastic curve cut out to the bottom of the cap in the inside as well as a protruding curve in the cup for the plastic piece on the cup to interlock them inside the cap to create a better seal.
