Remote Control - Servo Controlled Power Zoom Mechanism and Bracket - For Sony SELP-18105-G Lens · 模型 265851
This remote control zoom setup is controlled by an Arduino MIcro Board using a 3 position rotary switch to zoom in and out. It is hard wired with about six feet of wire. Almost forgot to mention, the first ring on the lens barrel manually adjusts the zoom as well, so, I can leave this setup on the lens even for handheld shooting. This camera goes on my motorized pan and tilt system. I have the pan and tilt system but no drawing of it (I made it before I started using my new CAD software). I've tried this setup on an 1855 lens with a simple aluminum bracket and it works great. Now I want to make a better setup like this one for my larger lens. BTW, I usually use 1.5mm screws to mount micro servos but all I could find in a Step File was a 2mm screw that was long enough for this model (18mm long). Also, in tight mounting situations like this I will remove the bottom of the servo so I can lay the wires and grommet to the side until the servo is in place, then replace the bottom of the servo. I've slotted the servo bracket for tensioning. I'm working on setting up a new Desktop CNC milling machine for milling carbon fiber and other plastic and composite materials. And......probably do some wood carving once in a while too! :-D I've added an alternative method to the carbon fiber model by using some 6000 series aluminum for the clamp, a milled delrin plastic block for the servo mount and a modified drive wheel using a 3/4" ID x .250" diameter O-Ring. It's easier to machine on the lathe and gives it more grip without too much pressure on the slide switch. I've tested this method with without going all the way with the machining and mounting. It works great, now it's time to make one built to specs. I was a little sceptical about it being able to clamp the the lens tight enough so I used some thin 3M rubber with adhesive on both sides (automobile trim tape), then shortened the block and spacer by about .015" to allow for tightening. It works better than I thought it would. I've also added a STEP file for this version as well. Oops! I uploaded the wrong alternate version (photos and STEP file. Sorry bout that! I've also uploaded a Step file of the Drive Wheel as well. :-) This design can be used for any power zoom lens with a slide switch but would need to be modified for your lens size. Thanks for looking! :-) Merv
