Edited Nov 28 - Added secondary latch GIF - Edited EGK ---------------------------------------------------------------- First emission Nov 16 I modified the original model of the Egyptian Key to allow locking reversible during the test phase. List of changes 1) I eliminated the spring acting the pin by making it fixed. To avoid interference between the sectors when they are stacked, it is necessary to provide a slothole in the overlapping triangles. 2) I modified the conical surfaces of the pin in contact with the wedges making them flat but keeping the conicity angle unchanged. In this way, the creep contact takes place on a plane rather than on a generator line, thus decreasing the specific contact pressure. 3) I modified the wedges by adding a step that works as end stroke when the spring it is at the maximum extensione, preventing it protruding too much into the hole where the pin must pass. 4) I added a spacer washer to calibrate the spring stroke. 5) To prevent the rotation of the wedges I have provided a pair of keys operating in grooves more easy to build. 6) I provided a mobile tool to unlock the key, it is composed of two forks driven by a screw with a double thread right/left that reset the wedges releasing the fixing pin.
