The grooved rollers rotate towards each other and crush the crab's limbs. Both rollers are driven, they have a rotation synchronization mechanism. The gap between the rollers is adjusted using trapezoidal threaded screws. This type of thread prevents self-unscrewing. The sleeve with a matching thread is made of nylon, because the stainless steel screw pair can jam. The tray at the back serves to receive the empty chitinous shell, the tray at the front serves to receive crab meat.
