A sweep flap for 4" PVC pipe. All parts are black ASA on a Stratasys F370. The main shaft is the dust pipe itself, which has a slot cut into it to receive the dust. When the large gear rotates forward, the slot shears open, which acts as the main seal. The geared flap is mostly cosmetic. Using off-the-shelf schedule 40 pipe as a precise shaft didn't turn out to be a good idea. You might to adjust that surface to your pipe. The slot was straightforward to cut with a 1 3/8 forstner bit and a hand jigsaw. The bottom of the flap turns out to be a little tight as it's not directly below its axis of rotation, but a little sanding should do the trick. Both gears should print self supporting. The diamond holes for the handle and pipe clamps should be tap drilled and tapped 1/4-20, but M6 should also work. The other little hole on the top of the handle is for a lube reservoir, which although likely extraneous, can be drilled and tapped 10-32. The holes for the axle of the small gear are M6, to complement the bearings there Other than getting the size wrong on the large gear shaft and trying to sand my way out, the build went fine. There wasn't enough reservoir to handle direct spraying with silicone, but a slower dispensing style will probably work fine.
