Here's my entry for the Saare vent contest. A unique rotating slit design provides variable ventilation by turning the knob only slightly. AISI 316 stainless should be used for dome, flanges, knob, and fasteners. The bearings are plastic (acetal) with stainless balls. The duct inserts and top bearing shield are also made of acetal. The dome and visible top four fasteners are titanium nitride coated and polished for an elegant, golden look.
