Hello! and a pleasure to have the chance to contribute to the fight against this pandemic, my project is not a respirator, I thought of something functional, for the safety of patients, very simple functionality, its operation takes place by avoiding excessive pressure on the patient, in the case of the mechanical respirator, send more air than necessary, if this happens, the opening system releases the excess pressure, thus closing the system back to normal, which can be defined by equation (x <= p) where (x) is the total resistance of the valve assembly, and (p) represents the normal working pressure of the respirator, if it exceeds, to be expelled by the valve.
