Due to the new coronavirus pandemic, I found myself constantly washing my hands and using sanitizer. This dried up my skin and my eczema flared up as a result. I needed something that allowed me to keep my hands clean while preventing them from drying at the same time. This device holds both sanitizer and lotion and easily clips onto a backpack, bag, or belt. It allows the user to apply sanitizer to clean their hands, then apply lotion to moisturize and prevent dryness right afterward. The simple design in Tinkercad allows for easy customization to fit different shapes and sizes of sanitizers and lotions. The bottle caps go through the bottom holes, which keeps them in place. The side holes allow the bottles to be squeezed easily and allow the user to clip the device onto something by using a string or a zip tie. You can also flip the bottles and put the holder in an upright position to sit on a desk. I designed the containers separately in Tinkercad (for the different dimensions of the bottles) and grouped them before 3D printing. This easy connect method allows you to add more compartments for things like sunscreen, chap stick, tissues, etc. I 3D printed the blue and black designs using PLA, while I used a flexible filament for the white one. The flexible filament is softer and safer for younger kids, but is more expensive and takes longer to print. Ryan Co 8th grade, Cabrillo Middle School (Santa Clara, CA)
