Screw Down Non-Return (SDNR) Globe Valves Screw down non-return globe valves also known as SDNR globe valves are used to prevent reverse flow when in the open position and for providing a leak-tight shut off with the capability of being used partially open to regulate flow. The valve is not attached to the spindle, it just floats. Spindle just guides it .. screw down non-return globe valves particularly suited for marine applications such as ballast systems, oil cargo pumping systems and shipside duties. NB: The handle in this design is modified, provided with a cut to get more grip and offering a space for mounting specially designed tools for torqueing if necessary.
