This SeederxTiller machine is a unified, engine-driven, two-wheel walk-behind unit. It utilizes a central internal combustion engine to drive a set of rear-mounted rotary tiller tines, which break up hard soil and clear weeds. Attached to the side/rear of the chassis is a distinct rotary punch-planting mechanism (the large red spiked drum). As the operator guides the machine forward, the tiller prepares the soil, and the spiked drum rolls over the freshly prepared earth. The spikes puncture the soil to a precise depth while a synchronized mechanism dispenses a controlled amount of seed and fertilizer from the dual hoppers directly into the punched holes.
