A design i made for a self centering locking mechanism. By turning the central disk the (four) arms move, because the sliders attached to the arms can only move linearly they are pulled inwards. As a result every slider moves inward at the same time and at the same speed, which causes any object placed on it to be automatically centered. a similar design is used in the: Self expanding round table (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Epv2AYSrEhc).
