The idea here is a self powered LED light with no batteries. Using Neo rare earth magnets fixed to spoke nuts and induction coil fixed to the frame with the LED light. In this example there are 32 spokes therefore you will have 32 light blinks per rim revolution. This is similar idea of a digital cyclometer sensor with one small magnet fixed to one spoke. The light and coil assembly has at least 5 degree of freedom to articulate light and coil into the proper position. There could be many variations to this idea as well. 1. The induction coil generate a small amount of current to charge the current Velodoom battery. 2. Bicycle cyclometer could also be employed with this idea. Even better using blue tooth technology for wireless connections. Example is the induction coil feeds the Velodroom light and the frequency pulses feeds the bike cyclometer via blue tooth. Option 2 is ambitious thinking but I wanted to put the idea out there.
