Semielliptic Trimaran · 模型 133755
Semielliptic Trimaran an outsider entry, trying to apply aerospace design and a completely from scratch design approach to ship hulls to give a few at least interesting ideas wetted part: depth: 6400mm total beam: 93078mm total length: 120871mm l/b ratio: 1.2986 center body l/b ratio: 8.156 side body l/b ratio: 7.767 average body l/b ratio: 7,897 wetted area: 5872,7m² total waterline: 708,63m center of lift: 58873mm ahead of the submerged parts rear 2384mm below water center of lift in file coordinate system: 0 -1791,86 58873,08 estimated total water drag at 20knots design speed combined from several simulation techniques: 1000kN Innovations: Trimaran shape, allowing to combine long narrow shape with stability as well as practical needs and reusing parts of wave energy by catching waves at the next bodies tail Semielliptic body shape, each of the three main floaters follows an almost but not quite elliptic basic shape which is an ideal compromise between reducing energetic, pressure and wave loss and reducing viscous friction while keeping stability, including a ssomewhat blunt flattened nose following aerospace design wisdom to use a small high drag area to break up the front wave and reduce drag along the rest of the body Wavedampener, a small wulst along but slightly below the waterline around each body which dampens wave creation and thus conserves energy brushed skin: it is difficult to keep a ship skin perfectly smooth but by slightly brushing it along the calcualted direction of flow / streamlines this problem can be reudced while it will create a little bit more viscous drag it vastly reduces the amount by which viscous drag increases over time and can be used to guide the stream of water along the hull
