If you can successfully program this part for a 3-axis machine, then I bet you can do any given 3-axis part. This part is very complex and makes you run your tool in a continuous 3-axis continuously. Manufacturing: 1. Size up your raw material and hold it in a machine vice or a vacuum fixture bed. 2. Machine any one side first, completely finish that side and open out the sides so that it will be easy in the next setup. 3. Fill up hard wax, flip the part and machine out the next side. By the time you complete programming this part, I bet it will give you great satisfaction and a great level of thinking as it is hard to perform a cut-out operation. you will surely get a great level of confidence in your machining skills. Casting method: It is a fairly simple casting, 1. Create a plastic pattern using a 3D Printer. 2. Either go for Lost wax or Lost PLA or sand casting to obtain a casting with a fairly good surface finish. If you require a good surface finish, then you can go for die casting.
