The condition of cards is largely dependent on how an individual's cares for the cards. The two most important factors are housing and bridging. Housing is important because it protects the cards from becoming bent due to external forces. Bridging is important because it liberates the moisture in the cards and keeps the cards from becoming stiff due to prolonged lack of use. However, most people cannot bridge a deck of cards. As a result, the cards become warped. This design allows an individual to both house the cards well in a secure environment and bridge so that warping does not occur. The design is split into three parts. There are 2 card cases that act as the cover of the cards. There is a middle platform that accommodates for the extra space needed for the initial shuffling. First, the card case extends to the full length and the user does the initial shuffling. Then, the platform can be pushed up to create the bridge shape. Then, the platform lowers and the cards bridge. Because of the unique lining inside of the card cases, the platform at each stage becomes firm. There is no slippage in the cards. The design will be made by PLA Plastic and be made by FDM.
