Thermo‑Mechanical Dual‑Chamber Mechanism – Simplified Demonstration Model This concept shows how two mechanically linked chambers can generate useful work for free by exchanging heat through a shared reservoir. This model shows a minimalistic version of a thermo‑mechanical device that uses two working chambers connected to the same thermal reservoir, but mechanically linked through a shared crankshaft. The key idea is that both chambers perform the same mechanical work, but with different effective areas or strokes, which naturally creates different pressures and temperatures inside each chamber. In this simplified model: The left chamber represents the cold side (larger effective area → lower pressure → lower temperature). The right chamber represents the hot side (smaller effective area → higher pressure → higher temperature). Both pistons are connected to a common crankshaft, ensuring equal transferred work. This demonstrates the core relation: 𝑊 1 = 𝑊 2 = 𝑝 ⋅ 𝐴 ⋅ 𝑠 and therefore: 𝑝 2 = 𝑝 1 ⋅ 𝐴 1 𝑠 1\ 𝐴 2 𝑠 2 which leads to: 𝑇 2 ∝ 𝑝 2 This simple geometric difference creates three temperature levels from a single reservoir: a cold chamber, a hot chamber, and the reservoir temperature. This STL model is intentionally minimal — it is not a full engine, but visual demonstration of the mechanical principle behind the concept.
