SINISTER Saw - Folding Combination Table Build (Table Saw, Router Table, Mitre Saw Stand) (Table Components) · 模型 25506

作者:Chris

In this video I take you through the build of my portable combination table. It is a table saw, router table, and mitre saw stand that can fold up to maximize the available space in your shop and it is portable! The tools are interchanged with a series of plates similar to table saw throat plates that the tools mount to on the bottom. You can simply swap plates to change over to a different tool, or you can mount your mitre saw to the table top for a secure mitre saw stand. The table features an extension arm for long pieces on the table saw or even to support long work pieces on the mitre saw. When you are done, fold it up and put it away, or move it to the next spot in your shop where you have more room! In Part 1 of this video series, I will take you through the table portion of this build which stands as the foundation of this tool. It features folding legs for convenient storage, a multi layered table top finished in polyurethane stain, and the interchangeable tool plate system that I developed. In Part 2, I will be covering the fence system, anti-kickback features (table saw splitter, featherboard), the remote Ryobi battery mount and emergency stop button for the table saw, sliding mitre gauge, and the storage box. Personally, I think the remote battery mount with emergency stop is a pretty slick set up so be sure not to miss Part 2! Why did I call it the Sinister Saw? Some of you may notice that the fence is mounted on the left hand side of the table saw blade. "Sinister" means "left" in classical Latin. Why did I mount it on the left side? In the intro, I explain that I am using a Ryobi cordless saw for the table saw and that this saw has a bevel cut bracket that only rotates in one direction. When you mount it under the table, the direction of the blade dictates which side you can safely mount the fence. You do not want to tilt the blade towards the fence as you are at a much higher risk of kickback. Therefore, I was forced to mount the fence on the left hand side of the blade which doesn't bother me! This build took quite a bit of time and effort, but I like to make my design files available for free for everyone! Please check out the link below for all of the 3D printed parts as well as the drawings for each of the table components featured in this video. ► YOU ARE HERE In future videos, I will be using this combination table a lot to tackle new woodworking projects that I have in mind.
