Sippy Cup Bottle Cap Attachment · 模型 81016
This is a small concept bottle-top drinking attachment I modelled as a portfolio and timed exercise, inspired by seeing a friend's son struggle to drink from a bottle without his dad's help. The focus wasn't to make a product for use, but to explore how a simple interface change could improve usability. The part was designed in Fusion 360 (personal licence as a non-commercial portfolio project) using a manually modelled internal thread rather than standard ISO fastener threads, with decisions, driven by how PET bottle necks and FDM printing actually behave. Print orientation, clearances, and layer height were chosen deliberately to get the best possible thread definition from a small nozzle. A prototype was printed in PLA Silk due to material availability and used purely to assess fit and print quality. The project was completed under a self imposed time constraint to mirror real engineering trade-offs, prioritising function and manufacturability over polish. Due to FDM hygiene and safety limitations, this design is not intended for food or infant use and is shown strictly as a concept.
