Hello reader , In this entry I would like to present to you six-cylinder engine powered by compressed air. HOW IT WORKS: To make it work all you need is compressed air and some force to start it. On the back side of it there is a chamber. Chamber consists of few parts , but valve and shaft are the most important since valve is the one that will direct the air towards cylinders and shaft is the one that is gonna move the actual valve and pistons . When chamber gets filled with air ,valve directs it into cylinder . Air pushes cylinders and cylinders over connecting rod move counterweights and everything else. It's a closed circle. There is no need for further explanation since the basic working idea is same as any other internal combustion engine. PRINTING: Parts for printing are the ones saved as STL. . Most of other parts are standard ISO or DIN and should be pretty easy to get. Other metal parts would be made by me. MATERIAL: Printing material - PLA Plastic Shaft and other metal parts (should be made by me) - Al + ABOUT THIS MODEL - "fuel" is air - easily made - educational - cheap - could potentialy power smaller planes ( size of the motor would be bigger of course) , etc. - Files also contain some calculations made in MathCAD ,FEA and drawings for production. FILES WERE SAVED ON CROATIAN LANGUAGE. IF NEEDED I WOULD TRANSLATE IT. THIS WAS ALSO MY FINAL WORK AND WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MADE. SADLY THERE WAS NO TIME AND IT JUST STAYED THE WAY IT WAS.
