School: Ryerson University Adviser: Vincent Hui The SnapSnare is inspired by the increasing popularity of percussive guitar playing in the musical realm. While this playstyle has been utilized for quite some time, in recent years it has been embraced by guitarists all over the world. Percussion guitarists utilize the guitar’s body to capture the spirit of a drum set by knocking, tapping, and slapping various locations on the body to create deep bass tones and powerful midtones. However, the most iconic drumming element is missing from the ensemble; the sharp snare accent. The SnapSnare introduces a formal solution to this lacking tone; a small elegant snare drum that mounts onto any guitar. We hope that this simple yet game-changing accessory will prove to be a desirable addition to any guitarists’ repertoire.
