A container has been designed to store cargo transfer bags (CTBs) of dry goods using a robot arm on a sliding guide rail. The robot arm can move along the rail to access different parts of the container and is equipped with a short-term battery, motors, control unit, wireless communication hardware, temperature and pressure sensors, and a gripper with a camera, temperature sensor, pressure sensor, and RFID or NFC reader. The CTBs have RFID or NFC tags and the container has a database to track when they are added and removed. The container has foldable shelves that can be accessed by the robot arm and has doors for manual access. It is made of a lightweight outer shell with insulation to maintain a consistent temperature and has 8 mounting points for attaching to a spacecraft or other structure. The container can be controlled wirelessly and has built-in temperature sensors, an automatic temperature control unit, and fluid heaters and coolers to maintain a stable temperature. It can be used with additional equipment such as an airlock and pressurized boxes.
