The petal is made of carbon fiber reinforced with graphene to aid in even more strength than the original so it can hold up more weight but is also lighter than traditional carbon fiber. The technology for graphene may not be there yet but the technology for carbon fiber enhanced with graphene is already there and it isn't much harder to make than normal carbon fiber. The other part of the petal is using the same kapton blanket used in the original because it's lightweight and it does the job well.
