Advisor: Robert Lee School: Rocky Hill School This project began in November, when the newly formed 3D Design Club of Rocky Hill School began its first group project. As we brainstormed ideas on whiteboards, one stood out from the rest: a raised city on a platform. This depiction was quickly dissembled into separate parts for each member to work on and later reassembled as three dimensional objects. The city is filled with oddities, from its unconventional buildings (including an observatory that raises questions as to what is being observed) to the body of water which surrounds it. Some buildings are realistic and mundane, while others seem to serve no other purpose than for visual art. Around the city is a ring of water that the inhabitants crossed using rowboats, which now float as though abandoned. Beneath the city is a several thousand-foot drop into a pool of tranquil water.
