One of the most pressing concerns for single parents is transportation, and in 2015 alone, there were 663 children under 13 killed in auto accidents in the United States, not including injuries and parents according to Fatality Facts.org. The main reason for this problem is that the driver of the car must try to pay attention to their children as well as the road. The solution that has been created for this is a suitcase like carrier to give children something to do without the need of parents. This could save many lives every year and make parents feel safer when they have to give children rides to school or other activities. While there are other ideas for this type of product already in use, they are mostly made of metal or bulky and excessive. Being 3D printed in ABS plastic using an FDM printer would make the product lighter, easier to maneuver, and cheaper to manufacture and purchase.This ease of access would allow people that make less money than average to also purchase one, which would be especially helpful because many single parents barely make enough money to survive. This new product could revolutionize the way that parents can travel with a child, and make the roads much safer than they were before.
