I thought it would be fun to use recycled plastic to make an action figure. This guy is roughly 4.5 inches tall when on its stand, has 8 moving joints, is made from 7 unique parts (14 parts total), and when made from PET plastic is right around 52 grams (.11 pounds). It would be easy and cheap to manufacture, given that it is made from a single material, has simple geometry, and has several redundant or mirrored parts. This 4.5 inch figurine could used as a toy for kids, an office trinket for adults, or as a career fair giveaway for employers. I figure with some decent marketing this could be sold for $15-20 each, perhaps more if customized colors and decals are used. Coming from plastic that many people think would be trash, that's a great turnaround!
