The power of air is a modular toy allowing the user to create different obstacle courses to navigate a hovering ball through. To make the ball hover the user has to blow through the printed pipe as shown in the video, placing the ball above the hole where the air is coming out. It can be a window based game where the obstacles can be hung to a smooth vertical surface like a window with the help of suckers. Since Ultimaker cannot print with rubber, yet, which would allow to print the suckers, I made the game into a table top version. The obstacles are rings, rails and baskets for now but it is intended that the user can come up with their own obstacles, which can also be attached to existing objects, fitting by printing the parts yourself. This game has many variations. For example the goal can be a race, where users race through the same course to see who can reach the end the fastest. Either one obstacle course is constructed and the players switch turns or identical obstacle courses can be build where the players race at the same time. Another version can be to see who can get the furthest through the course on one breath of air. Don’t forget to watch the video I made!
