This is a custom-designed 4-1 exhaust manifold made from Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V), intended for a high-performance inline-4 engine application. The project was done for a company that specializes in lightweight racing exhausts. I designed this with equal-length runners (±1 mm tolerance) to help optimize pulse timing and improve exhaust scavenging at high RPMs (target range: 5000–8500 RPM). The primary runners are 1.5-inch (38.1 mm) ID, smoothly merging into a 4-1 collector with a 2.5-inch (63.5 mm) outlet, aiming to reduce backpressure and support power gains above 4500 RPM. The weight of the full assembly (without welding) is estimated at ~1.1 kg, offering a significant reduction compared to stainless steel (~2.4–2.7 kg).
