The Mk.18 torpedo tube, which launched the Mk.8 21” torpedo, was used on Elco PT boats beginning with the 77 footer and part way through the production of the 80 foot PT-103 class. READ THE "MK XVIII NOTES" DOCUMENT. Just do it. The CAD file here represents the original torpedo tube in 1:1 scale and is dimensioned in inches. >>>> The CAD parts are NOT suitable for 3D printing! But feel free to use this reference design for any modeling or kit project. If you do so, I'd be happy if you mentioned the source (me!). 04OCT2023: Edit...updated the STEP file. Added brackets on the truss rods. Sorry, no update to the 2D drawing.
