Simulation results show that fluid flows through a pipe with a 45° bend, resulting in a sudden change in flow direction. Changes in fluid distribution are observed in the bend area, indicating increased turbulence and energy loss due to changes in flow momentum. Fluid tends to concentrate on the outside of the bend due to inertial forces, while on the inside of the bend, velocity decreases and recirculation zones can form. This phenomenon causes a pressure drop and reduces flow efficiency compared to a straight pipe.
