Assembly in the model is supposed to provide rotation in two different planes without just by changing the direction of the motion. The rotation in vertical direction is powered by CW rotation of motor shaft, while the frame containing rollers freewheels due to one way bearing. Similarly the rotation in the horizontal plane is powered by CCW rotation of motor shaft, with rollers freewheeling due to another one way bearing. There has to be some breaking mechanism to avoid the motion of frame in horizontal axis which is not shown in the assembly model. This feature can be seen in the 2X2 module assembly model.
