Universal Cardan Joint · 模型 73810
A universal joint is used to transmit rotational motion between two shafts that are not in line, often at an angle. It allows torque transfer even when the input and output shafts are misaligned. 1. Key Parts: Cross (spider) joint – the central part that allows two rotational axes to intersect. Fork/Yokes – each side holds one end of the rotating shafts. Housing/Frame – the rectangular structure keeping the joint in position. Adjustment screw & top knob – looks like a fixture mechanism, probably to clamp or position the joint for a test, demonstration, or mechanical setup. How It Works: The U-joint consists of two yokes connected by a crosspiece. As one shaft rotates, the cross allows the second shaft to rotate even when angled. It's commonly used in: Vehicle drive shafts Steering mechanisms Industrial machinery Robotics
