Universal Desktop Extraction Module SV-1 I developed the SV-1 Universal Desktop Extraction Module, designed to operate together with a dust extraction or vacuum system. The compact design takes up very little workspace, is easy to install and mount, and does not require complex equipment or special tools. The module is designed for local removal of dust, fine particles, and processing debris directly from the working area. It can be used in laboratories, workshops, dental laboratories, and other workspaces where local dust extraction is required. Components The SV-1 Universal Desktop Extraction Module consists of: 1. Main Body — the primary structural component of the module. 2. Protective Screen — protects the working area and user from flying particles. 3. Filter Screen / Mesh Filter — captures larger particles and helps prevent them from entering the extraction system. 4. Extraction Port — provides connection to a dust extraction or vacuum system. 5. Table Clamp — provides quick and secure attachment of the module to a workbench or table. 6. Long Screw — used for fastening and securing the clamp/module. 7. Short Screw — used to secure individual components of the module. Required Hardware The assembly requires: • M3 × 12 mm screws — 4 pcs. • M3 × 20 mm screws — 4 pcs. If M3 brass threaded inserts are available, they can be installed in the corresponding mounting locations. The use of brass threaded inserts provides a stronger and more durable threaded connection and allows the module to be assembled and disassembled repeatedly without wearing out the threads in the printed plastic parts.
