A complete 3D CAD model and drafting package for a mechanical Universal Joint, commonly referred to as a Hooke's Joint. This classic mechanism is essential for transmitting rotary motion and torque between two intersecting shafts that are not collinear. This project was developed as part of engineering coursework (Assignment 5, Part 2) to demonstrate complex assembly mating, multi-part interaction, and 2D detailing. Project Components: Assembly Model (Assem1 SLDASM): The fully mated Hooke's joint, demonstrating the kinematic relationship between the yokes and the central cross. Detailed Parts (SLDPRT): Includes all individual manufacturing components: the main yoke (Part1), the central cross/spider (double Bush), the main connecting pin, washer, and a split pin for securing the mechanism. Engineering Drawings: Includes the native SOLIDWORKS drafting sheet (SLDDRW) and a comprehensive PDF package featuring standard mechanical detailing and views. Software: Modeled and drafted natively in SOLIDWORKS.
