Universal Tire Model (adjustable to any size/profile) NX · 模型 188724
I created this model in UGS NX 8.0 in order to be able to generate a basic street tire model for any application that may arise. The exterior dimensions of the tire are fairly accurate, which will make it visually and spatially useful. Treads have now been added to the model (basic). UPDATE I think the V3 model is sorted out now, let me know if it works for you if you. The Model is governed by standard tire dimensions. These dimensions can now be controlled using the parameters in Sketch1. There is also an option to control tread bulge and sidewall bulge. Sketch parameters shown in Renders. Tread Width: The treadwidth in mm Wheel Width: Wheel Width in mm Wheel Height: Enter this as the Wheel Dia in mm Profile: Enter this as a number in mm eg. 55 (is divided into a unitless quantity and multiplied by the treadwidth. SideBulge: Radius of Bulge - Bigger = Flatter TreadBulge: As above. WARNING: Obviously setting the TreadBulge or SideBulge parameters to a radius less than TreadWidth/2 or the TreadWidth*(Profile/100)/2 will likely break the model, so don't do it. Overall i haven't been able to crash the model using real life tire fitments. Also don't change the Percent value, it is set at 100 and used as the divider to make the Profile a percentage. The actual sidewall height is stretched to a longer than realistic value, thus the overall height of the tire will be slightly smaller than IRL. Just realize that it's not a perfect model, just a guideline. Unfortunately I only have NX currently so this model may be useful only to those with UGS software. I can however generate models and post them in IGES, STEP etc if anyone wants.
