"Krasnoe "or" Krasnaya Gorka " is a pseudo-Gothic estate of Catherine's favorite Alexander Petrovich Yermolov, located to the South-West of the village of the same name in the Mikhailovsky district of the Luhansk region. The first owner of the estate (or the earliest known one) is Countess N. p. Yaguzhinskaya (?-1778), who was married to the General-the Lieutenant of count F. I. Golovin (1704-1758). Further, until 1783, the estate was owned by their nephew, collegiate adviser I. S. Golovin, after-the provincial leader of the nobility, Colonel F. I. Boborykin (1726—?), married to A. M. Beklemisheva(1736-1793) and then until 1793 their heirs[1]. It was during this period, in 1786, that the manor Church of our lady of Kazan was founded. Then the estate was owned by a Lieutenant-General and an adjutant-wing, in the past one of the short-lived favorites of Catherine II, A. p. A two-story manor house with a mezzanine, rounded vestibules and Lancet Windows was built on a raised platform. The low ground floor was occupied by household services. Before the revolution, Catherine's room was preserved in the mezzanine, where the Empress herself allegedly stayed[3]. After the revolution, the house was looted. The most original structure of the estate is an animal farm, standing on an artificial Peninsula and "disguised" as a miniature fortress with four elegant towers. The unknown architect effectively used the contrast between the white stone details and the red brick background. The similarity of the white-stone crenellated-Lancet decoration with Bazhenov's buildings in Tsaritsyn, near Moscow, prompted local historians to hypothesize about Bazhenov's participation in the design. Construction work in Krasnoye lasted until 1810, culminating in the consecration of the Kazan Church, on the pediment of which was placed (lost in the XX century) the inscription[4]: From the generosity of the great Catherine. By the time the owner lost interest in the Russian estates and settled with his family in Styria, at the castle Frohsdorf. After his death, the General's body was brought to Russ...
