It connects to the 40 mm OD hose used by Kirby vacuum in the big side. This is the male port that receives air from female accessories at the tip. It's compatible with both 32mm and 35mm standard tapers. The design is 1.75 degrees of taper relative to the symmetry axis with diameters from 29mm to 36mm Notes: It was intended to be glued but the fit is so good with friction that I haven't done it. That "32 mm standard" means the biggest part of the two cones that fit is intended at 32mm. To get some contact area you need the male cone (this adapter) to end up with smaller diameter at the tip.
