I conducted a group project on 65 cm diameter wind turbine design. I was responsible for the turbine design, analysis, and testing stages. The blade geometry was based on the NREL S825 airfoil. Using QBlade simulations, the turbine and generator power curves intersected at approximately 65 W at a wind speed of 10 m/s. After analysis the blades printed and tested in wind tunnel. In the experimental tests, the turbine produced 27 W at a wind speed of 9.4 m/s.
