Based on a BSc paper "CFD investigation of a fin keel" by Jakob Heide and Patrik Lans. The paper used the class rules for the X-99 in order to optimise a NACA64 keel vs NACA65 keel. NACA64 profiles gives a slightly higher lift coefficient but also a higher drag coefficient. The DXF:s supported are based on 6 cross sections which are exported from a 3D model. Templates for optimising keel may be created using the DXF:s for laser/water cutting.
