Yggdrasil Waterpumping Windmill Yggdrasil from old norse mythology. The Tree of life having three roots connecting the different worlds of ancient gods. Under each root is a water source. In the top is an eagle causing wind and storm when it flaps its wings. This experimental waterpumping windmill is designed and constructed using the concept of a Savonius Rotor as energy source and a diaphragm pump to pump water up 3 meters from a well or other source. The concept can be constructed using very simple parts available almost anywhere. Using a 200 L plastic barrel for savonius rotor, and pvc pipe from an old tire from a truck. Also by using gear and brakes from old bicycle parts. See the YouTube video for more info on this. The windmill design is intented to be very mobile, and can be totatally dismounted in 2 hours for repairs etc.
